PhD, Chemistry, California Institute of Technology, June 2018

B.S. Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, June 2012

With a combined academic and research background in the areas of biochemistry, structural biology, organic chemistry, and chemical engineering, I have worked on industrial applications of pharmaceuticals ranging from antibody-drug conjugates to protein drugs to oligonucleotides to small molecules. As a PhD candidate at the California Institute of Technology, I applied my academic and research experience toward the study of biological tools of protein transport and catalysis. I am particularly interested in helping to improve the human condition through my research and have sought to do so by focusing on applications in therapeutics and agriculture. I have had the honor of serving as a dedicated researcher, teacher, and mentor throughout my scientific career and am excited to continually apply the knowledge, skills, and experience I have developed through my industrial, graduate, and undergraduate work to new and interesting research challenges.
